Sonographers use high-frequency sound waves (ultrasound) to create images of organs, tissues, or blood flow inside the body for diagnostic purposes. Graduates find work in hospitals, physician offices, or outpatient clinics. Several areas of specialization, including Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Diagnostic Cardiac Sonography, and Vascular Technology, are all available at Samartha Hospital.
The radiology (X-Ray) department provides a diagnostic service for the Trust and the local population. Radiology has become increasingly interventional & therapeutic other than being just diagnostic. The Radiology & Imaging at Samartha Hospital is a highly advanced facility that is equipped with the latest advanced state-of-the art technology. Equipment like Body CT have supplanted or encroached upon other radiological procedures. Magnetic Resonance is another newer modality installed in the department for non-invasive imaging where as General ultrasound is designed to keep pace with newer, advances & to cover all areas of ultrasound. For the conventional radiography & diagnostic procedures, the department maintains conventional X-ray machines.
